Good advice. I mean, shit, if you can buy up some dirt cheap shitcoins for next to nothing it's not going to hurt anyways. If it explodes to tens of thousands of dollars from mere cents, a regular joe could go from pauper to prince.

Some hole in the ground in the middle of the wilderness? (if your home is raided, the stash in the wild is still there)

I agree. Just saying it's not impossible, and people probably did it back before computers.

Very nice writeup. All my systems are run on full disk encryption.

One thing about encrypting paper: Couldn't you come up with a formula for modifying what you write down? Just pick a set of memorized rules for garbling it beyond interpretation (or ungarbling it into a sensical result). Clever rules that would be harder to crack than a -> b etc. Say, write down which page a word is in in a physical dictionary, and where on that page, but memorize a rule for modifying the numbers before you write them down, and a rule for adding garbage in between meaningful pieces of information to make it harder to crack.

Not that some smart individual or computer couldn't unravel whatever rules you used. But maybe clever enough rules would make that implausible.

I didn't know about archival grade optical disks... Neat to know.

10 months in what? What did I start doing 10 months ago?

Do I install a Linux distro and some sort of wallet software? I've installed Linux on external USB3.0 hard drives and run them on laptops. I could dedicate one to a wallet.

If hardware wallets are a compromise, what's the full security option?

Is that (#1) equivalent to buying the dip?... except only the cases where the stock does indeed go up instead of down more.

Fair enough. Can't access bitcoin from the gulag, organ harvesting table, or gallows.

I wish I had money to invest in 2019... I missed the boat, after saying I'd love to invest next time there's a pandemic or a "pandemic."
