The dividend is paid to the owner of the share. Like how rent is paid to the landlord, not the person renting the building.

You can read something like "The Intelligent Investor" for an understanding of how all of this is supposed to work. It's a nice book, sort of like how the US Constitution is how the government is supposed to work, or the Republican Party platform is how the GOP should function.

Then, after you have read that, you can sit with your eyes closed and imagine a rigged casino in which all of the card tables are staffed by people who like to sniff lines of coke off of public urinals, and all of the slot machines have been rigged to give your payout to the casino instead of to you. Then imagine the owners of the casino took a loan against the chips that you bought from them.

Basically, let your imagination run wild. Once your mind is somewhere between Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland, then you will know you have arrived at a true understanding of the rigged economy and rigged stock market that we are dealing with.

The CPI is NOT inflation. This is a deliberate misconstruction of the Keynesians. Inflation occurs only at the Fed and is by definition an expansion of the money supply. CPI is a distraction and a rising or falling CPI only indicates an expanding or contracting money supply. In other words, rising prices are the result of inflating the money supply; they are the symptom of inflation, not the inflation itself.

Similarly, the herpes blisters that Bill Clinton must experience on a 24/7 basis are the symptoms of his herpes, not the disease itself.

Still holding. The HedgeFags are far from safe. But that isn't financial advice, just my opinion. My opinion is also that HedgeFags are criminals and should go to prison, where criminals belong.

Of you still have any interest, the Mises Institute is the place to find everything about central banking

Not to be abrasive, I just have some issues with this. Since the Frauderal Reserve is the entity that prints money, all of the inflation originates from it, so it cannot have a mandate of controlling inflation when its very existence secures that inflation. Secondly, the bank has always existed to print money. Please search my posts to find the one several days ago where I walked through how the money is created and why it is mathematically impossible to pay off the national debt.

No, shorting is to stock trading what fractional reserve banking is to depositors. Both should have the most severe imaginable punishments. It isn't finance. Its fraud.
