This is fucking criminal. Watch the SEC give them a slap on the wrist while they run away with billions in profit.

70
juniorLocomotive 70 points ago +70 / -0

This is theft 101. They better be going to prison for this.

42
venomouspede 42 points ago +42 / -0

How many Banksters went to prison for derivatives fraud?

14
KingSweyn 14 points ago +14 / -0

They need the Leo Frank treatment.

TheDTOMDon 4 points ago +4 / -0

If we can whip up some pics of citadel execs with proudboys gear on they’ll be in Guantanamo by Monday.

13
goldkeyboardwarrior 13 points ago +13 / -0

They’re too busy throwing people that posted election memes in 2016 in jail to dedicate resources to the Robinhood leadership.

9
DonJr2032 9 points ago +9 / -0

The won't

25
tdavis25 25 points ago +25 / -0

Its not when you buy on margin. When you do that, you allow your broker to make trades on your behalf to close positions they think are risky.

Robinhood gold is just a funny name for a paid margin account.

3
communityguy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes

9
robin_hood 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yes. But will the plebs learn?

Of course not!

7
ProfessorOak 7 points ago +7 / -0

Fidelity and Etrade aren't allowing new accounts right now either. Another user said that Etrade has stopped logging buys on GME. Robinhood will take the blame, but they're all in this together.

Edit:

Fidelity might just be overloaded at the moment. Some people are still getting through with them.

3
y_do_i_need_to_hide 3 points ago +3 / -0

If that happens, and we accept it, we deserve it. If it happens, and the SEC upper leadership is unsafe to walk down the street, they will learn. I am in no way suggesting a specific method by which this might be achieved, but this is how politics work

ak83 97 points ago +97 / -0

Citadel owns Robinhood. They also loaned a large sum to Melvin to.get out of their position. Theyre doing this to recoup their own funds by forcing your sales.

This is straight up criminal as fuck.

11

Not likely. More likely that they are willing to take a slap on the wrist punishment they will get for doing this.

2
Paleo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Get fined millions to save billions?

6
boycott_elitists 6 points ago +6 / -0

How will they force sales? I will just HOLD. I was denied adding to my positions, but I then just put my profits to work in AG and SLV. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke!

15
ak83 15 points ago +15 / -0

They got a margin call on friday. Melvin got the cash from Citadel. Citadel is involved with RH. They know if they dont get the price down for Melvin to cover, its bankruptcy time and they get hit too. So, basically, theyre fucking criminals.

1
tchouk 1 point ago +1 / -0

Citadel owns Robinhood

I can't find information on ownership. Where does this come from?

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

8
GabeC1997 8 points ago +10 / -2

Actually, a lot less than you think. While the President is quite important, all it takes is the click of a button. But they'll need to click a few million buttona to do the same to us, which drives up the difficulty immensely.

CrimsonClown 15 points ago +15 / -0

You know they are set to vote on a house bill that effectively ends the second amendment by requiring all citizens to have a firearms license to even hold a firearm? They are also set to vote on making Washington D.C. a state too.

They don’t really care about rules.

Yup, this. Someone bought GME on margin.

8
jubyeonin 8 points ago +9 / -1

On Robinhood? They stopped doing that for at least a year. Last time I did was 60/40 and they changed it to no margin.

jubyeonin 1 point ago +2 / -1

Margin is restricted for some stocks with high volatility. $GME was one of them because it went from something like $20 to $5 in a month.

Real talk, they are probably on margin and RH risk management is cutting their loss for them.

Still not cool, but dont borrow money to play the market.

8
NotJudging 8 points ago +8 / -0

Is this for real?

8
philskill001 8 points ago +8 / -0

So i cant buy GME, so i decided to put in a withdraw order for all my money. If i cant buy the shares i want i'd rather not buy anything at all/ not make money for my broker. #ETORO faggets.

Mass complaints to SEC. Even that vapid commie twat AOC is spouting off about the fraud on Twatter. Eventually bankers will get helicopter rides too. That's how this movie ends :/

Maybe everyone should close out all their brokerage accounts, liquidate all assets. Just collapse the stock market.

You can complain to the SEC directly. https://www.sec.gov/oiea/Complaint.html

2
jebba 2 points ago +2 / -0

FINRA! Better than SEC even. FINRA regulates Robinhood, SEC regulates GME. Info: https://wsbets.win/p/11SKBxjul9/robinhood-robbin-yer-gamestop-me/

Thats like them going into your house, introducing the new owners whom they sold it to for a third of the market value. Patting you on the back while winking at you like they did you a favor and smacking your wife on the ass on their way out.
